Aqaba, Jordan: Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla Resort, welcomes Mr. Jean-Francois Durand as its new General Manager. Mr. Durand has over 26 years of experience with Hyatt and before arriving in Jordan he held several General Manager positions with Hyatt Hotels in cities such as Sochi, Dushanbe and Ekaterinburg. Most recently he was the General Manager of Hyatt Regency Moscow Petrovsky Park.
Mr. Jean-Francois Durand expressed his enthusiasm to join Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla Resort by saying: “Its feels like an exciting journey with the Hyatt Family around the globe over the past 26 years, and I am truly excited to join the team in Aqaba to work together and set new milestones for this amazing property, as I am looking forward to continue this exciting adventure.”
Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla Resort also bids farewell to Mr. Mohammad Labban in his future endeavors. Mr. Labban joined the Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla Resort in September 2017, and helped to launch the property in Aqaba with the opening on the 1st of December 2018. Mr Labban looks back on a career of 22 years with Hyatt and is excited about his new role as the General Manager of Hyatt Regency Birmingham.
Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla Resort is Jordan’s first Hyatt Regency hotel and second Hyatt-branded property, joining Grand Hyatt Amman.
