Dubai, UAE: Homegrown GCC retail firm TKD Lingerie, the D-K cup expert, has appointed Andrea Gissdal to the role of Communications Director. Andrea will be in charge of all communications and marketing across the retailer’s markets, within a flexible working environment.
The appointment follows the retailer’s healthy growth since its inception and the opening of its first boutique in Jumeirah Town Centre in 2012, and its recent launch in Bahrain.
Kate Kikano, Owner of TKD Lingerie, says: “When the company was first established, there was a desperate need in the market for great quality lingerie, swimwear and nightwear in a wider size range than the average department store, and we saw tremendous organic growth from day one. As we have evolved, so has our need for strategic, on-brand communications. The appointment was made by Mums@Work, a recruitment agency that specialises in part time and flexible roles. Andrea joins TKD Lingerie with more than 10 years of experience in communications and marketing. In her previous role with an international consultancy, Andrea developed and led communications and integrated marketing programmes across the MENA region for high profile clients in a range of industries covering both the consumer and corporate arenas.
