Google inc. will be participating in the upcoming Mediterranean Travel Fair in Cairo.

Google's Vertical Travel Manager Michal Lorenc will be holding a Seminar discussion on September 6th to discuss Online Advertising and the Travel Industry.

Through the seminar Lorenc will discuss the topic "Online Advertising and the Travel Industry". The session aims at introducing the basic concepts of online advertising and its applicability to the Travel Industry. As a Travel Vertical Manager, Lorenc is responsible for the travel category in the CEE Region. He has been with Google since 2003 and has been involved with the Online Travel business for over 5 years, working with a variety of travel partners including Expedia, United Airlines, Hilton Hotels, Hertz, various Destination and Marketing Organizations and others.

Online advertising is particularly well suited for the Travel Industry as potential tourists typically research destinations online. Statistics now show that more and more people are searching for and booking their holidays online because it is just so simple and convenient.

With the advent of online advertising many industries have started using this medium for targeted campaigns because online advertisements for destinations, transport, and attractions can reach this audience at the time of research. Online advertising also provides unprecedented granularity allowing advertisers to target specific geographic areas or languages.
