Al Turki: NBK always seeks to solidify its leading position as the most socially responsible local bank

An important occasion to raise awareness among all segments of society on complying with traffic rules and reducing accidents

Delivering on its CSR commitments on all levels and supporting humanitarian, environmental, health and educational initiatives, National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) sponsored GCC Traffic Week for 2023, which was held at Al Shaheed Park.

NBK’s participation in the Gulf Traffic Week this year comes as part of its social approach and solid community service culture, as it aims to raise traffic awareness among all segments of society in order to achieve safety and security.

Speaking on this, Talal Al Turki, NBK Public Relations Senior Manager said: “NBK always seeks to solidify its leading position as the most socially responsible local bank by sponsoring a variety of initiatives aiming to raise awareness among all segments of society at all levels, and the  sponsorship of GCC Traffic Week is a key example.”

“NBK has consistent efforts in developing and supporting its home community, and is always seeking to raise awareness among all its members. The GCC Traffic Week is an important occasion to highlight the dangers of traffic accidents and the necessity of complying with traffic rules, safe driving, and following the instructions of traffic policemen,” he added.

Al Turki noted that the GCC Traffic Week is a great opportunity to raise awareness among all segments of society, especially the youth, on the necessity of acting responsibly towards others and reducing the rate of traffic accidents. This comes in line with NBK’s special focus on the youth across many areas, including healthcare, education, regarding them as the human capital for developing the future of Kuwait.

NBK boasts being one of the most socially responsible private sector institutions, with a consistent approach extending over many decades since foundation until now. This complements the bank’s leadership in the banking sector, as it has a rich record of pioneering social and humanitarian initiatives across different fields.
