Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 11 June 2013: Etisalat, one of the leading telecom operators in the Middle East and Africa, announced that it has achieved certification to the new COPC Customer Service Provider (CSP) Standard, Version 5.0, for its Customer Care Centre in Ajman, UAE.

The Etisalat Customer Care Centre is the first call centre in the Middle East region to be certified to the new COPC CSP Standard, version 5.0.Moreover, maintains the COPC CSP standard certification consistently since 2009. The certification attests to the comprehensive quality orientation of Etisalat Customer Care Centre and recognises the Centre's commitment to provide seamless, leading-edge customer care services that conform to the highest international standards and which have met operational targets and business objectives in the areas of customer satisfaction, revenue, service, quality and cost.

The COPC CSP standard is a comprehensive and integrated performance management system for customer-centric service operations and is the original standard in the COPC® Family of Standards. Created in 1996, the COPC CSP Standard remains the most prestigious and widely recognised certification program for operating and managing a high-performance customer contact centre.

Hussain added that the Etisalat Customer Care Centre, which replies to inquiries and complaints as well as providing support on technical queries and billing issues, received around 60 million calls during 2012, with an average of 164.5 thousand calls per day and 5 million calls per month.

In addition to the COPC certification, Etisalat Customer Care Centre is also certified to ISO 9001:2008 quality management standards and was recognised for its service excellence at the Customer Experience and Service Excellence Summit 2012, where it was honoured with the award for "Best Call Center Experience" at the prestigious Customer360ME Awards held as part of the Summit.
