Expanded manufacturing operations in Dubai enable company to better serve customers in the region
Dubai, United Arab Emirates (9 June 2013) - Emerson Process Management has expanded the capabilities of its Rosemount Dubai Manufacturing Centre in the UAE to include the production of wireless instruments.
"This new capability points to our endeavor to better serve our customers by bringing innovative technologies to the region. The localisation of our manufacturing activities will further improve our customer support and provide more value such as quicker delivery times on our new product lines," said Phil Bond, Emerson Process Management's vice president for Rosemount Middle East and Africa.
The manufacturing centre is part of Emerson's headquarters for the Middle East and Africa. Dubai is an ideal location for these operations, with the United Arab Emirates' strong transport and logistical links to other countries in the region. In addition to resources that support the Rosemount business, the headquarters has the capabilities to produce, assemble, and service Fisher control valves, conduct systems staging and factory acceptance tests, supply Emerson's diverse automation technologies, and provide a full array of services including presales consulting, project execution services, start-up support, emergency on-site services, maintenance and repair services, and training.
Located in Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone, the Rosemount centre started its operation in June 2010 as a result of a $3 million investment to provide customers in the region with a complete line of solutions and a faster service experience for pressure, temperature, flow, level, and safety measurement instrumentation. Since 2010, Emerson has supplied over 400 customers with Rosemount products from this facility.
The centre now produces now produces Rosemount wireless pressure and temperature transmitters. These products are offered with a short standard lead time of two weeks and included in the Rosemount On Demand service, a programme that quick ships products and spare parts to customers with urgent requirements.
Emerson is making major investments to expand its manufacturing and service capabilities across the Middle East, demonstrating its commitment to work closer to customers and bring world-class local support. The Dubai headquarters supports and complements Emerson's several facilities across the region, which are located in Abu Dhabi in the UAE, Doha and Ras Laffan in Qatar, Kuwait City in Kuwait, Basra in Iraq, Manama in Bahrain, and Al Khobar and Jubail in Saudi Arabia.
