A delegation of the General Department of Human Resources (HR Development Department) from Dubai Police General H.Q. paid a visit to the headquarters of the Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat) in order to closely discover how the Corporation designs its varied training programs and also to seek possible ways of cooperation with Emarat in this regard. The delegation comprised Lt. Majed Nasser Al-Bardan, Head of the Department of Training Courses, Lt. Muhammad Al-Asmawy, Head of the Department of Planning and Training, and Sgt. Jamal Al-Khuzaimy.
At the presence of both training officers Methaa Al-Shamsi and Ali Ghanem, Dr. Mohammed Bu Qufell, Manager, Career Development at Emarat, expounded to the delegation how the Corporation designs, prepares, and develops its programs and how it identifies its training needs, and methods of assessment in addition to how Emarat coordinates with the respected specialized training corporations.
Further, Dr. Mohammed Bu Qufell briefed the delegation members on the types of training programs designed specifically for Emarat staff, including the introductory programs targeting new employees to inform them about the different activities run in the Corporation. Dr. Bu Qufell also talked about the qualificatory programs aiming to promote and upgrade new employees' level of some skills, including English command, computer literacy, communication, and raising their aware of the Corporation's code of conduct in addition to furnishing them with the fundamental ethics, which help them carry their roles in a proper manner.
The Dubai Police General H.Q. delegation was introduced to the collective programs prepared upon the request of Emarat's employees in collaboration with the specialized institutes together with the individual programs aimed at each department or division separately according to the specialized technical training needs. The delegation was informed also about the training programs organized by Emarat abroad, which aim to update the employees on the latest developments in the industry all over the world.
The delegation members expressed their appreciation and admiration of the training strategy of Emarat and the variety of training programs designed to meet different training and qualificative needs, whether for employees or students, which stresses that Emarat is quite keen on nurturing, developing, and enhancing the career of its employees and providing them with various necessary skills and expertise.
