Dubai Central Laboratory Department of Dubai Municipality conducted 33,108 tests on various specimens it received during the month of August.
According to the monthly report of the Laboratory also conducted 404 inspection campaigns and issued 3,856 compliance certificates during the month of August.
The tests conducted by the Laboratory included that of ensuring safety of toys, cosmetics, electrical appliances, gemstones, precious metals, foodstuff, environmental, engineering and calibration materials.
The inspection campaigns included visits to concrete ready mix companies, concrete block factories, construction sites and lubricant oil shops. The visits proved that 98.9% of them were adhering to the specified standards.
The Laboratory also issued compliance certificates to concrete blocks, sand, light weight blocks and hot blocks, in addition to technical compliance certificates and compliance emblems to products.
