For the CRT of Fez this was an opportunity to become aware of the endeavors carried out by Royal Air Maroc for developing Fez as a tourist destination in the principal tourist issuing markets and to find out about the role that "Atlas Blue", the low cost subsidiary, will play.

A joint program with Regional Airlines

This new network which offers genuine opportunities for the development of tourism in Fez and all the cities of tourist interest in the Kingdom makes it possible to:

  • Meet the requirements of domestic customers for business, individual and tourist travel.

  • Optimize the connections for the Casablanca hub from and to the international network of Royal Air Maroc from the principal regions of Morocco in order to better position national tourism on niches with high added value departing the major tourist issuing markets in Europe.

  • Facilitate travel by Moroccan residing abroad leaving from Europe to the main cities of Morocco via the Casablanca hub, thanks to the increased number of frequencies and wide choice of flights during the week (3 flights per day between Casablanca and Fez).

Promotional actions

Fez as a tourist destination benefits from the same endeavors deployed by Royal Air Maroc in the framework of its promotional program in Europe and North America: get-to-know travel for travel agents and tour operators, press travel, incentives, etc.

In this framework, Royal Air Maroc recently organized a trip for Swiss golf enthusiasts to allow them to discover Fez.

From a cultural standpoint, Royal Air Maroc is a faithful and active partner of the prestigious Sacred Music Festival of Fez.

Strategy of " Atlas Blue ", the low cost subsidiary of Royal Air Maroc

President BERRADA recalled that the creation of the low cost subsidiary of Royal Air Maroc coincides with the government's vision consisting of providing our country with a strong national tool for accelerating the development of tourist transport, pointing out that the mission of the new company is to exploit routes from and to the provinces of Morocco and the sources of tourism with point-to-point service at a level of competitiveness complying with the best international practices.

He added that "This national tool will enable strengthening the competitiveness of the Air Transport industry in our country and make it a major vector in the growth of tourism in the framework of Vision 2010.

The people in charge of Atlas Blue then proceeded to demonstrate their business model and activity.

After, the application of the partnership agreement was reviewed.

To be remembered is that Royal Air Maroc already signed similar agreements with the CRTs of Marrakech and Agadir. In this way Royal Air Maroc contributes to the achievement of endeavors initiated by CRTs linked to the promotion of Morocco as a tourist destination and the strengthening of its attractiveness on tourist issuing markets.

This support concern the commercial canvassing endeavors, exhibits and shows abroad as well as individual promotional activities.
