Connect Group has launched a partnership programme to give individuals and companies the opportunity to earn additional revenue by referring individuals or reselling freelance visas.

Individuals who refer Connect Freelance to a freelancer can earn AED 1,000 as a referral commission. A freelance visa through Connect Freelance is valid for two years, including medical insurance and a work permit.

Companies will be able to purchase freelance visas obtained via Connect Freelance and sell them on including a markup for their own services. By using Connect Freelance for the administrative work involved in securing a freelance visa, businesses skip the complicated paperwork and have peace of mind that the visa has been processed correctly.

“Since the pandemic freelancing has taken off. Covid completely disrupted the norms of working life and by moving away from the 9 to 5 model, many are choosing self-employment. With perks like less commuting time, flexible hours, more autonomy and perhaps a better work-life balance, there’s no doubt freelancing is an attractive option,” explains Aaron Portero, Managing Director of Connect Group.

In April 2022, the UAE introduced a range of new visas and residency permits – including the Freelance visa – to simultaneously attract and retain talent from all over the world. Part of the UAE’s economic roadmap, the visa amendments offer expatriates new paths for long term residency in the country.
