Dubai, UAE - If there are two things you must have to keep you moving through the sands of the Arabian Desert, they are horsepower and torque. With this in mind, Arabian Adventures has started the new season with the introduction of the powerful new Chevrolet Tahoe to its fleet of dune riders; after all, if you don't have enough of both in these conditions, you're in the wrong car.

With a massive 355 hp at 5400 rpm and 505 Nm of torque at 4600 rpm, the Tahoe's raw power, refined ride and handling, safety and comfort were coined as the perfect combination to  deal with the extreme conditions Arabian Adventures operate in.

Arabian Adventures' specialist drivers take passengers on rollercoaster rides along the dunes of the Arabian desert, trusting in the abilities of the Tahoe to go deeper into the desert - and to do so more securely - than other SUVs could ever manage.

The Chevrolet Tahoe is dynamic and exciting, all the while, this edition boasts greater security, masses of personality and even more comfort than ever before.

Increasingly more off-road drivers are beginning to understand the importance of leaving as small an environmental footprint as possible on the dunes, and the Tahoe addresses this by introducing Active Fuel Management to the segment, giving the best fuel efficiency in its class without sacrificing any of its power or ability to haul nearly three-and-a-half tons.

And the Tahoe doesn't compromise comfort and safety in any way. It comes with StabiliTrak and Proactive Roll Avoidance as standard to help the driver maintain control and avoid accidents before they can occur. Also standard are dual-stage frontal, driver and right-front passenger airbags with Passenger Sensing System, and head-curtain side-impact airbags for all seating rows, to make sure all occupants are protected.

Inside, the cabin interior is the quietest of any full-size SUV on the market, with the most comfortable seating in its segment, and a host of innovations new to its class. An enhanced DVD radio system that allows movies to be loaded and controlled from the front seat is available, along with a segment-leading 8-inch widescreen video display for rear passengers. The Tahoe also boasts fold-and-tumble second-row seats with an industry-exclusive power release, as well as an automated tailgate to make it easier to access the cargo area.

Other thoughtful touches include the factory-installed remote vehicle start system with automatic climate preconditioning and Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist and a rearview camera (standard with the satellite navigation system) to make backing up easier and safer.

Under the shell, the 5.3-litre V8 powerplant, generating 355 hp at 5400 rpm and 505 Nm of torque at 4600 rpm, takes care of the Tahoe's remarkable power release, while brand-new, coil-over-shock front- and improved 5-link rear suspension give superior handling control and the smoothest ride of any full-size SUV. Just because you are in the wilderness doesn't mean that the ride should be any less than comfortable.

The Chevrolet Tahoe is a true dune-driving vehicle with sporty exterior design, exceptional ride and handling, and a premium interior that guarantees comfort.

The wheels are shod with new 17-inch wheels that are the biggest in the segment. When you are sailing along the sand, it is important to have the maximum rubber available in contact with the dunes to maintain your charge.

The Tahoe's expressive design features wrap-around fascias and reduced body-panel gaps  reflecting the attention to detail paid to the build proves that the it is engineered and validated especially to stand up to the demands of the region's harsh climate.

Most of all, though, the new Tahoe offers great value for money. This is a full-size vehicle with all the performance, versatility and style you would expect from a Chevrolet. Arabian Adventures picked the Tahoe because it blends the best of all worlds without any compromise.
