Abu Dhabi: CAE, the leading global training and mission systems integrator, will present its latest defence and security innovations at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) and the Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX). The events will take place simultaneously in Abu Dhabi from February 21 to 25, 2021.
CAE’s innovations include digitally immersive training and operational support solutions that help meet end user readiness requirements. At IDEX, the company will showcase the CAE Trax Academy – a comprehensive pilot training continuum that delivers faster, better and more efficient pilot throughput. Part of the CAE Trax Academy is the CAE Sprint Virtual Reality (VR) trainer. The company will also demonstrate its remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) training solutions at their stand (Hall 1 #01-A21) during IDEX.
More on CAE Trax Academy:
· Virtual reality-enabled courseware to learn at your own pace
· CAE Rise™ (Real-time Insights and Standardised Evaluations) – a data-driven training system leveraging big data analytics and artificial intelligence to objectively assess performance.
· CAE Sprint Virtual Reality (VR) trainer that includes a VR headset, haptics, physical flight controls and a CAE Medallion image generator to deliver a high-fidelity and realistic virtual environment.
The CAE Sprint VR trainer is currently set up in the CAE office in Abu Dhabi and will be part of CAE’s exhibit at the upcoming IDEX (Hall 1 #01-A21). As part of the CAE Trax Academy pilot training continuum, the CAE Sprint VR trainer can help regional air forces continue to streamline pilot training by leveraging new digital technologies.
At NAVDEX, CAE will demonstrate VSTEP’s bridge simulator which is part of the comprehensive Naval Doctrine Training Centre (NDTC) the company is delivering to the UAE Navy.
CAE has been a long-term partner of defence forces and governments within the Middle East. The company has been doing business in the region since the early 1980’s and has its regional headquarters office in Abu Dhabi.
