Batelco announced that it will be sponsoring the basketball tournaments organized by Bahrain Basketball Association for First and Youth divisions this season.
The sponsored activities include Batelco National Basketball League, Batelco Basketball Golden Square League, Batelco Basketball Cup Championship, Batelco Youth Basketball league, Batelco Youth Golden Square League, and Batelco Youth Basketball Cup. Moreover, Batelco will also be sponsoring the National Basketball Team.
“Fundamentally key to Batelco’s strategy is to support and help develop the youth market in Bahrain. And in particular to assist our young athletics and sports men and women in achieving success in their chosen fields. Batelco is prepared to invest in Bahrain and its citizens,” explained Sameer Nooruddin, Acting Chief Executive, Batelco.
“We also want to support the national basketball development project (score) to produce highly qualified players on the club levels which will lead to a highly competitive national team.” he added.
“By developing players’ skills at all levels and providing the league with some financial stability we aim to help position basketball as a leading sport in the Kingdom.”
Trophies and cash rewards will be presented by Batelco to players with outstanding performance, in addition to giveaways and cash prizes that will be awarded to fans and spectators during the Batelco sponsored tournaments.
These sponsorship activities are scheduled to take place in the Juffair and Um Al Hassam Domes beginning in October.
