Dubai, UAE, 2 October 2004 - NetBotz, the global leader in web-based, wired and wireless physical monitoring solutions for critical assets will be showcasing its range at GITEX, the largest annual technology event in the Middle East.

NetBotz, winner of the recent IDG Innovative Technology Award, will also debut its NetBotz 420 and 320 appliances which provide monitoring and protection of smaller sites. With a lower entry cost, the two new appliances still provide advanced features such as: a Linux-based operating system; higher camera resolutions and frame rates; advanced alert customisation; and SSL encryption.

In addition, the NetBotz 420 offers moderate expansion via a USB 1.1 port, which gives users greater deployment flexibility by enabling them to attach an additional camera pod or CCTV Adapter Pod and four additional sensor pods.

GITEX, the largest and most successful annual event of its kind in the Middle East, has over 2,000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries and in excess of 70,000 visitors from across the globe. GITEX is the premier international exhibition for computing, communications systems and applications dedicated to the Information Technology industry and the entire business environment.

David Watkins, MD of NetBotz EMEA said, "The Middle East is an important market for NetBotz and GITEX is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate to potential customers both the quality of our products and our commitment to supporting our growing channel within the region."

NetBotz has a number of high profile customers and partners within the region including Dubai Internet City, which is now using NetBotz appliances to protect its data centres and telecommunications closets.

NetBotz partners such as SCI have also received a great deal of interest from potential customers within the region. "The increasing need for an affordable, easy to deploy IP-based physical security solution makes NetBotz an ideal solution for us to offer the market," Steven A. Brown, Regional Manager of NetBotz MEA.

"This need has been driven by several trends, including the growth of distributed infrastructures that, because of their remote locations, are vulnerable to physical threats. We feel NetBotz is poised for rapid market penetration in the Middle East and we're glad to be part of that success," Steven Brown added.

GITEX Dubai will take place from 3rd to 7th October 2004 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre and NetBotz is located at stand number 5 within the DIC Community Zone at Concourse 2 - between Exhibition Halls 7 and 8. NetBotz will provide sales, demonstrations and technical experts for the duration of the event.
