Manama, Bahrain: AMNA Insulations, will be promoting LGS Building Technology at the Gulf Construction Expo 2018.

LGS  represents  Light Gauge Steel.  Light Gauge Steel has the highest strength- to- weight ratio amongst building material. LGS gives additional advantages of Strength, Durability, Stability, Non-combustibility, Sustainability and Cost-effectiveness.

Amna Insulations’ Executive Director Mr. Suleiman Al Mezal Says: “ LGS building technology provides a lighter material which is quick to install. There is no need  for heavy tools or equipment. Every component can easily be carried by hand - a house is like a carpentry job on a larger scale. The main tool is a light, handheld screw gun.”

LGS offers cost savings on a number of fronts. By helping to minimize the risk of fire, the use of LGS results in lower insurance costs for builders and owners. In addition LGS structures utilize computer aided design and engineering software. The final frames are produced by rolling or pressing steel into semi-finished or finished goods at an ambient temperature.

“Amna have made modifications to LGS Building Technology to meet the requirements of the   environmental and business conditions in GCC environment” adds Mr. Mezal. “At Amna we are committed to green building solutions and technology. The LGS system delivers on our corporate mission as LGS steel is recyclable and is a recognized green building material.”

Mr Mezal also added, “LGS being factory made, benefits are several eg., predictable and shorter build times, reduction in transport cost, logistical complexity, enhanced quality and safer working environment.”

With demand (290,000) for housing units in Bahrain far outstripping supply (216,000), the only feasible solution to catch up with the deficit is by implementing advanced construction technologies with faster cycle time such as the one which provided by Amna’s LGS Building Technology.

Jubran Abdulrahman, Managing Director of HCE the Gulf Construction Expo organisers says “LGS is an interesting option available to the construction sector. Visitors to Gulf Construction Expo can witness at first hand its advantages “
