Enables investors to tap into a growing number of trading opportunities, following SCA approval

Enhances investment opportunities and allows investors to access new markets

Creates arbitrage opportunities between the DGCX and other commodity exchanges

Dubai, 04 February 2012: Alpari ME DMCC (Alpari), part of the Alpari group of companies, one of the largest online trading companies in the world, has been granted approval from the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) to operate as a full broker member on the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX), enabling Alpari to offer a wider range of products to its clients. Alpari's membership on DGCX will also enable its international clients located around the globe to take advantage of the extended trading hours available on DGCX.

The move allows Alpari, as a new broker member on DGCX, to broaden its reach into the global commodities markets. Alpari's membership on DGCX now allows clients the opportunity to seamlessly take advantage of arbitrage opportunities between DGCX and other global exchanges where Alpari are also a represented member and the chance to trade a greater range of currencies and commodities at competitive commission structures on a fully regulated financial exchange.

Alpari ME DMCC now offers investors trading opportunities in several major currency pairs. Investors will also be able to trade a wide range of commodities in the Middle East including gold, silver and crude oil, among various other commodities.

Iskandar Najjar, CEO of Alpari ME DMCC, said: "We are extremely excited by this new initiative with DGCX, an initiative that yet again sees Alpari at the forefront of technology, offering unrivalled choice to our clients in the region and also to those interested in trading Indian Rupees. This would enhance the trading platform for those looking to diversify their portfolio, and also allows the opportunity for investors who trade through Alpari to access other attractive markets. We are pleased to be able to offer even more choice to our customers, both retail and institutional, and this strengthens Alpari's ever expanding presence in the Middle East and wider region."

Stephen Gaterell, CEO of DGCX said, "We are delighted to welcome Alpari ME DMCC to our trading desk and we look forward to working closely with our new members to create and offer market participants new opportunities to meet their demand through a wider access to markets and a better trading environment."

Gaurav Kashyap, Head of DGCX Desk at Alpari ME DMCC, said: "This new licence will enable us to not only facilitate retail participants to trade in a wider range of products, but will also allow trading for HNWIs and institutional clients who are looking to use our desk to take advantage of pricing differences in various commodity markets around the world. The solutions we offer will also be of tremendous value to our clients seeking to hedge their exposure in the physical markets."
