Kuwait, 12 July 2007 - Ali Alghanim & Sons Automotive Co., Kuwait's exclusive BMW, MINI and Rolls Royce importer, adds a new model range to the X5 line up in Kuwait. The new BMW X5 3.0 litre featuring refined driving dynamics designed with superior technology and a powerful engine.

Featuring a powerful and refined six cylinder engine mated to a standard six-gear automatic transmission, the BMW X5 3.0 also features the BMW xDrive permanent all-wheel drive system and optimized suspension for unmatched agility and handling.

As one of the most advanced engines of its kind in the world, the 3.0-litre inline-six cylinder engine with the lightweight aluminium-magnesium alloy crankcase. The BMW X5 3.0i produces 220KW (272 bhp) and a torque of 315 Nm at 2.750 rpm, translating to a 0-100 km/h time of 8.1 seconds and a top speed of 225 km/h.

The perfectly-spaced gear ratios of the responsive six-speed transmission system ensure that the vast power of the BMW X5 3.0i engines is transmitted to the drive wheels with maximum efficiency. As an optional feature for a manual transmission driving experience, simply activating Steptronic mode enables gear shifts to be controlled by paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Whatever your style, the six-speed transmission system is ready to respond.

Available options include the BMW Assist communication system, a retractable load floor, and panorama power glass moonroof. The BMW X5 3.0 also features standard 18-inch alloy wheels which can be replaced with 19 or 20-inch optional wheels.
