For the third consecutive year, Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) Q.S.C is sponsoring an international conference organized by the Doha Chapter of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) held on May 9 and 10, focusing on how finance and auditing professionals can help organizations' improve efficiency.

The local chapter of the ICAI, which has more than 300 members holding senior positions across a diverse spectrum of public and private businesses, has been very active in Qatar and regularly organizes professional seminars and workshops.

The conference titled, 'Delivering Business Advantage' was held at Qatar National Convention Centre aims not only to bring together leading financial industry experts to share their knowledge and insights with the members of ICAI and other similar professional bodies, but also assist Qatari nationals and institutions to enhance their financial, auditing and accounting skills, which are essentially a part of human capital development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030.

Established in 1981, the Doha chapter is one of the oldest among the 15 overseas chapters of the ICAI and some of its previous conferences were related to Corporate Governance and Business Controls; Global Mergers and Acquisitions - New Paradigm; Cost of Capital vs. Cost of Insurance; and Financial Leadership and Excellence.

al khaliji's support for the ICAI's annual meetings falls within the bank's general corporate social responsibility strategy that aims to support education, enhance business knowledge, and build brand awareness in the local business community.
