Dubai – AGBL West Africa announced the successful installation of the first high-throughput Next Generation Sequencing system platform at the African Center of Excellence for Genomics of Infectious Diseases (ACEGID) in Nigeria.
Mr. Mohamed Ben Marzouk, a senior Area Manager at AGBL Afrique, said, “We are proud to have completed the very first installation successfully at ACEGID, Redeemers University in Nigeria. This sequencing platform will greatly enhance ACEGID’s sequencing capabilities, helping them to work with genomes of animals and human in a flexible, scalable more economical manner. This portends immense potential in Africa’s public health through empowering Genomics research and evidence based public health policies in Africa.”
