Muscat: Oman Embassy in Indonesia has urged Omani citizens to postpone travel to the country due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases.

A statement issued online by the Embassy of Oman in Jakarta said: "The Indonesian government announced the imposition of a state emergency in all cities until July 20, 2021, due to the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases. The embassy hopes for Omani citizens to postpone travel to the Republic of Indonesia in the current times."

"The embassy requests the citizens in the Republic of Indonesia to take precautions and stay away from crowded places, and the need to communicate with the embassy on the phone at +62816100002 or via WhatsApp at +96892020300," the statement added.
