Muscat: The lowest temperature recorded in the Sultanate of Oman on Thursday, January 26, 2023 was in Jabal Shams, which was -0.9 degrees Celsius.
According to the Oman Meteorology, Jabal Shams station in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate recorded -0.9 degrees Celsius, which was the lowest temperature among all weather stations during the last 24 hours, followed by Saiq station in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate with 3.5 degrees Celsius and then Al Hamra station in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate with 11.4 degrees Celsius . 12.5 degree Celsius was recorded in each of Nizwa station and Dhank station.
Frost formed on the top of Jabal Shams due to the temperature dropping below zero.
