ArabFinance: Egypt reported 1,201 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, May 17th, raising the total count to 245,721 since the pandemic started in February 2020.

58 new deaths were reported, while death toll hit 14,327.

Egypt currently has 181,478 total recoveries after 901 new patients have been discharged from quarantine hospitals, the health ministry noted.

This is the countrys highest daily count and the first above 1,000 in three months.
