Muscat: The COVID-19 vaccination campaign will be temporarily suspended in Muscat Governorate on August 10, 2021, due to the Hijri New Year holiday, said the Ministry of Health (MOH).

"We draw your attention to the fact that on Tuesday, Muharram 1, 1443, corresponding to August 10, 2021, COVID-19 vaccination operations will be closed in the approved vaccination centres," the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in Muscat Governorate said in a statement.

"We kindly request you to reschedule the appointments for the day through the Tarassud Plus application system or the electronic link: Covid19.moh.gov.om, emphasising the importance of expediting the vaccination campaign to protect the community at large, "the statement added.
