ArabFinance: The Egyptian health ministry announced 124 new coronavirus cases, increasing the tally to 103,079 since the pandemic started, according to a September 29thstatement.

The ministry detected an additional 13 fatalities, bringing the death toll to 5,914.

Recoveries now total 96,094 in Egypt, after 508 new patients have been discharged from quarantine hospitals, the statement said.

More than 1 million people have died from the coronavirus worldwide, marking another “milestone in the pandemic's brief but devastating history,” according to the CNN.
