Manama: The Jidhafs Health Centre has started operating round the clock, as of yesterday.

It is among the six health centres that are to remain open 24 hours a day, bringing those operating around the clock to nine across the kingdom.

This follows directives by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Prime Minister, to further strengthen the development and efficiency of the kingdom´s health sector.

Primary Health Care Centres chief executive Dr Jalila Al Sayed yesterday visited the Jidhafs facility to inspect its services.

She affirmed that the nine health centres will be fully equipped to work around the clock, providing medical coverage for the immediate treatment of urgent cases related to family medicine.

Incoming cases would also be referred as emergency cases to hospitals if necessary, as ambulances would be operating at some of the centres.
