Manama: Hospitals and pharmacies in Bahrain were yesterday directed to immediately withdraw all prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) ranitidine drugs, and also stop their imports.

The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) issued a circular against prescribing or dispensing these medications, and urged consumers to consult their doctors for alternative medications.
