Mwasalat has resumed its Muscat-Dubai service days after a bus on the route crashed in Dubai, killing 17 passengers. The Oman government-owned company had suspended its daily E05 operation after the crash.

On Saturday, the operator said the operations were resumed in agreement with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). "The company has provided a team of specialists for further investigations in coordination with the competent authorities," the company tweeted.

"An independent investigation team has been formed headed by Accident Investigations from the Department of Transportation Safety at the Ministry of Transport and Communications. The team, which includes experts on traffic safety and specialists in Safety Management Systems, will explore the direct and indirect causes of the serious accident, enabling the competent authorities to take corrective actions to mitigate the occurrence of such accidents."
