Abu Dhabi Municipality, in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Waste Management Center, has confiscated and destroyed more than 30,000 containers with six tons of consumableitems, the municipality has revealed.

The itemswhich included cosmetics and personal care products did not confirm to the health standards, said the Department of Public Health at the municipality.

The municipality has also urged consumers to purchase reliable products especially cosmetics and personal care products to avoid health hazards.

"These inspection and control campaigns reflect the municipality's keenness to provide an umbrella of safety for consumers, and to rid the markets of all exotic products that enter our markets without getting approval from the competent authorities as fit for consumption," added Al Rumaithi.
