Zoomcar, an India-based self-drive and car-sharing platform, is planning to expand its car fleet in Egypt, according to an emailed release on March 20th.

The move will contribute to boosting growth in Egypt’s peer-to-peer car-sharing sector, as well as income diversification.

“Zoomcar encourages private car owners to host their vehicles on its platform, with the aim to achieve mutual benefit for both sides,” Vice President and Country Head Hany Olama said, noting that over 1,000 cars were added the company’s fleet last year.

It is worth noting that Zoomcar was launched in 2021 with total investments of $25 million.
