The Central Bank of Egypt approves launch of ADIB’s Takka cards

Holders of Takka cards will be able to seamlessly purchase products and pay in installments

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has granted the final approval to Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Egypt (ADIB) to launch Takka prepaid cards in cooperation with its arm ADI Consumer Finance and Meeza, according to an emailed press release on March 28th.

Holders of Takka cards will be able to seamlessly purchase products and pay in installments via more than 800,000 point of sale (PoS) machines in Egypt.

Takka cards marks a great launch of ADI Consumer Finance’s business in the Egyptian market, where it seeks to lead this emerging sector.
