Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population has signed a cooperation protocol with a group of private sector’s healthcare providers, including Alameda, Alpha Cure, Cleopatra Hospitals Group, and Saudi German Health Centers, according to a statement by the ministry on January 15th.

Witnessed by the health minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the cooperation protocol aims at bringing foreign experts and provide free medical services for citizens.

Abdel Ghaffar said that the protocol comes as part of the government plan to improve the quality of health services provided to citizens.

The minister added that this step contributes to reducing government expenditures for treatment abroad at state expense and easing the burden on patients who receive treatment abroad at their own expense, as well as boosting the medical tourism in Egypt.
