Egyptian Foreign Affairs Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Danish counterpart Lars Løkke Rasmussen agreed on the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and continuing consultation and coordination between the two countries, Egypt’s Foreign Affairs Ministry stated on March 21st.

On March 20th, Shoukry headed to the Danish capital to co-chair the Copenhagen Climate Ministerial Conference, which took place on March 20th to 21st, to tackle climate change adaptation, mitigation, and funding, in addition to handling damages and losses.

Shoukry and Rasmussen’s talks also dealt with aspects of the development of relations between Egypt and the European Union (EU).

For his part, the Danish Foreign Minister expressed his country's interest in strengthening cooperation with Egypt in various fields.

Views were exchanged on several regional and international issues of common concern, particularly the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and its negative repercussions.
