AMMAN — Labour Minister Nayef Istitieh on Thursday met with Qatari Labour Minister Ali Said Samikh Al Marri and discussed issues of common interest.

The two ministers emphasised the necessity of enhancing cooperation and the exchange of expertise in labour-related issues, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Istitieh said that the discussions focused on increasing job opportunities for qualified Jordanians in Qatar.

Expressing pride in the “longstanding” Jordanian-Qatari ties, Marri said that his visit to Amman is aimed at opening new avenues of cooperation in implementation of the two leaderships’ directives towards serving shared interests.

Commending Jordanian competencies working in the region and the Qatari labour market, Marri voiced his country’s willingness to benefit from the Jordanian skilled workforce.
