KUWAIT -- The price of Kuwaiti oil edged up by USD 5.58 to hit USD 148.62 per barrel (pb) Monday, compared to USD 143.04 Friday, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) on Tuesday.

In global markets, the price of Brent crude went up by USD 2.93 to reach USD 100.21 per barrel, as West Texas Intermediate rose by USD 5.21 to USD 93.50 pb.
