JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's Shoprite Holdings reported a 7.7% rise in profit for the second half of last year, lifted by strong festive season demand, the country's biggest grocer said on Tuesday.
The retailer said headline earnings per share from continuing operations rose to 710.5 cents in the six months ended on December 28, 2025, from a restated 659.8 cents.
Shoprite declared an interim dividend of 307 cents, up 7.7%.
