SHARJAH - Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), has affirmed the significance of tourism projects in promoting the emirate's allure as a tourist attraction regionally and globally.

She made this statement during her visit to Al Heera Beach, a newly opened beachfront destination located in the Al Fisht area of Sharjah, which was officially opened in December 2022.

She also visited the final constructions of the Serai Wing, Bait Khalid Bin Ibrahim, a premier heritage-inspired luxury development located in the Heart of Sharjah, which was originally the residence of pearl merchant Khalid Bin Ibrahim over a century ago.

Accompanied by Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, Acting CEO of Shurooq, Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi toured the two destinations emphasising their significance in terms of Sharjah’s objectives to bolster its position as one of the world’s leading tourist and investment destinations. She remarked that both these projects, among others, support the emirate’s inclusive ecosystem, and offer entrepreneurs and investors with attractive opportunities to launch and expand their businesses in Sharjah.

Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi commended those working on the project for their exemplary efforts and attention to preserving a century-old monumental architecture all the way down to the finest details, while also enhancing the locations with creative modern design, giving visitors a unique experience that blends the aesthetics and authenticity of the past with the majesty and magnificence of the present.
