The Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) and Etihad Rail organised a workshop on protecting and securing the “Etihad Rail Passenger Train',” in cooperation with their partners.

The workshop focussed on highlighting the role of Etihad Rail in securing the project, in line with the ADP’s strategy, through implementing a modern vision for the future to make Abu Dhabi a leading destination in terms of sustainable safety and security, as well as achieve institutional leadership among the police.

During the workshop, Colonel Mubarak Al Amiri, Director of the Transportation Security Administration, highlighted the ADP’s interest in the key national project, as well as the importance of assessing the project’s requirements to provide adequate security services.

Lt. Colonel Rashid Mohammed Al Hajri, Head of the Transportation Security Administration, said that the administration is responsible for securing local transportation and relevant facilities, in coordination with the strategic partners of the Integrated Transport Centre of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, through drafting a strategic plan to protect public transportation.

Fadi Al Zoubi, Security Expert at Etihad Rail, presented a working paper on passenger train design and security requirements.
