The Damascus chamber of commerce and Industry is making preparations to launch Motex Fair "spring and summer 2004" specialized in fashions, textile industries and production equipment.
The fair will be held for the second time at the fair ground on the airport road.
The event will be held on area estimated at 12,000 square meters divided into to four main sectors with the participation of 300 companies, chairman of the Damascus chamber of Industry Haitham Midani said.
"Motex is considered one of the most successful specialized fairs in Syria, " Midani addad.
The fair met great success in previous sessions through ensuring Arab and foreign contracts to market Syrian products in the field of the fashion and textile industry.
Mr Midani said that the fair is basically directed at businessman and traders, referring that the Establishment of Fairs has showed readiness to find developed mechanism to transport local visitors and ensure transport for visitors from Arab and foreign countries.
It is worthy to mention that the event will be held from February 19-22.
