CAIRO (Zawya Dow Jones)--Saudi Railways Organization said Tuesday it awarded Saudi Archirodon Ltd. a 382.8 million Saudi riyal ($102 million) contract to complete a dual railway linking the cities of Riyadh and Dammam on the country's east coast.
A trip between the two cities will take less than three hours once the railway is completed, SRO said in a statement posted on its website.
The project is expected to be finished within a year and a half, the company added.
