DUBAI (Zawya Dow Jones)--Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (2010.SA), the largest petrochemical company in the world by market value, and units of Exxon Mobil Corp.(XOM) signed an initial agreement Tuesday to build a multibillion dollar synthetic rubber project in Jubail on the Persian Gulf, the Saudi Press Agency reports Tuesday.

The project aims to supplying 400,000 metric tons of carbon black, rubber, and thermoplastic specialty polymers EPDM, TPO, BUTYL and SBR/PBR, Saudi Press Agency reports.
