SOUSSE - The members of the Popular Front (PF) in the 2014 legislative elections (constituency of Sousse) filed, Sunday, an appeal to the Chamber of Appeals of the Administrative Court against the results of the legislative elections for the infringements noted during the campaign and for the use of dirty money, Brahim Belgacem, PF head of the list in the constituency of Sousse said, during a meeting with the press, Monday in Sousse.
He specified that this appeals is based on the judgement of the First Instance Court Sousse II, of October 31, 2014 against Chokri Ben Taieb Zarrouk. The latter was given six-month suspended sentence and fined 1,000 dinars for giving money so as to influence the voter before vote, by virtue of article 161 of the electoral law, he added.
The members of the Popular Front list, Brahim Belgacem said, request the cancellation of the results obtained by the Ennahdha movement list in the constituency of Sousse. They claim a new counting of the seats after the confirmation of the charges against Chokri Ben Taieb Zarrouk who, according to Brahim Belgacem, was present before the polling station at El Habib primary school, in Kalaa Soghra, and gave money to the voters to incite them to vote in favour of Ennahdha, as noted in the report of the investigation.
At the end of the legislative elections results, the 10 seat of the constituency of Sousse are divided as follows: 5 seats for Nidaa Tounès, 3 for Ennahdha, one for Afek Tounès and one for Al-Moubadara.
