Leading Omani commercial law firm, Al Busaidy, Mansoor Jamal & Co (AMJ), has appointed a new partner to head up its corporate/commercial law department.
Ardeshir Patel is a corporate finance lawyer specialising in IPOS, corporate restructuring, governance and compliance, securities, derivative and swap transactions.
As a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and the Bombay High Court, Patel combines cross-border expertise with an intimate knowledge of Oman law and practice gained over eight years of legal practice with AMJ.
"We are delighted to welcome an outstanding lawyer into our partnership," said Mansoor Jamal Malik, managing partner. "His appointment to the partnership is a testament to the success we have had in this department and demonstrates our commitment to support fast-paced economic growth and development in Oman.
"It boosts our capability to respond to the business community's need for quality legal services at a time of increasing complexity and sophistication of transactions, products and the developing regulatory framework."
AMJ, established in the 1970s, is the largest law firm in Oman with five teams of lawyers delivering legal advice across a broad spectrum of company/commercial and litigation/arbitration matters.
