Iran exported over 375,000 tons of goods to seven countries in the first month of the current Iranian year (started March 21), with Afghanistan standing on top of the list.The Iranian goods exported to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Pakistan amounted to $212 million in this period, Fars News Agency reported.
The value of Iran's total non-oil exports in this period exceeded $2.82 billion. Non-oil exports, including gas condensates, showed a 10.4-percent rise compared with the corresponding period of last year.
The main export destinations of Iran were the UAE, China, India, Turkey and South Korea last year. Earlier this year, Mehdi Karbasian, the head of Iran's Customs Administration, said the country is preparing to have a considerable growth in non-oil exports."Non-oil exports will witness an eye-catching growth in the current Iranian year," he said.Karbasian noted that Iran exported $41.62 billion worth of non-oil goods, including gas condensates, last year, which showed a 0.43 percent rise compared with the previous year.
