Dubai, Oct. 28th, 2007: H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai met Sunday with Ekmeleddin Ihsan Uglo Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Conference, OIC and Amr Moussa, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.

The meeting with the high-profile guests took place on the sidelines of the First Knowledge Conference which was opened today in Dubai by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid. Discussed at the meeting were issues related to knowledge and higher education in Arab and Muslim countries as well as the best means to tackle problems facing them.

Amr Musa and Uglo hailed the vital role Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid plays in different fields in both Arab and Muslim countries in particular and on the global stage in general.

Present at the said meeting were Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, State Minister for Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation, Hanif Hassan, UAE Minister of Education, Abdul Rehman Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development as well as a host of academics and high ranking officials.
