Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s transport minister, Kamel El-Wazir, has discussed with Mercedes-Benz’s delegation the creation of Bus rapid transit (BRT) systems.
The ministry works on taking all procedures requisite for regulating land transport in Egypt in line with the presidential decree no. 73 of 2019, El-Wazir said in a statement on Wednesday.
In addition, the ministry plans to upgrade public transport buses as well as private transport buses to be environmentally friendly.
Representatives from Mercedes-Benz offered the supply of BRT vehicles, electric buses, gas buses, diesel buses, and electro-diesel buses.
