AMMAN — The Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry on Wednesday called on Sahab-based factories to give priority to the district’s local residents, in terms of recruitment and training, according to a statement from the chamber.
President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry Fathi Jaghbir voiced pride in Sahab district, an incubator for many factories, notably King Abdullah II Industrial Estate, which includes more than 467 industrial facilities with a capital of more than JD1 billion, providing jobs to thousands of Jordanians.
Expressing hope that the lockdown imposed on Sahab for health purposes would be lifted soon, Jaghbir highlighted the importance of Sahab in attracting local and foreign investments, pointing out that exports from the district surpass JD400 million and account for 10 per cent of the Kingdom’s total manufacturing exports.
