The Indian food court in the Global Village offers fare from the length and breadth of the country. From the rich Mughlai cuisine to lip-smacking south Indian snacks, you will find everything here.

Flavours from different regions vie with each other to tempt you to try a tasty bite or a sumptuous meal.

The tastefully decorated food stalls include Aappa Kadai, Sindh Punjab Rest-aurant, Dasaprakash, Stop N Save, Kwality Restaurant, Palm Grove Restaurant, Nalukettu Group of Restaurants, Hyderabad House and Akbar's.

For authentic Hyderabadi food and the famous biryani from the Deccan, Hyderabad House is the best bet.

The aroma of mutton and chicken biryani is irresistible as you walk past this stall. Making this happen is chef Gopi who has more than 10 years experience in making this delicious dish at the Annapurna Hotel in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.

Gopi also says he can make 36 varieties of dosas including pesarattu, uttappam, masala, rava, ghee roast and salad dosas.

Mohammad Shabbir, who hails from Malakpet in Hyderabad and has more than 19 years experience in the kitchen, specialises in barbeque and spicy vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.

Shabbir recommends dum ka murgh, mutton korma zafrani and bagare baigan if you have a taste for for spicy Hyderabadi food.

Haleem, chicken tikka, shammi kebab and seekh kebab are the other items, he says, that visitors prefer.

Hyderabadi cuisine is never complete without a dessert. Dabal ka meetha, which is made of pieces of bread deep fried in clarified butter and mixed with sugar syrup and khoya; and qubani ka meetha, a sweet dish made with dried apricots, ensure that your meal is complete.
