Abu Dhabi, 16th May 2010 (WAM) : Major high-quality Bus manufacturers, Hafilat Industries LLC has handed over their first bus to the Department of Transportation in Abu Dhabi.
Mr. John Brumby, the 45th Premier of Victoria and Mr. Doug Trappett, the Austrialan embassador to UAE, have attended the sermony. Saeed Al Hameli, General Manager, Bus Office, Department of Transport (DoT), has received the first bus key from the victorian premier during an event that took place at Hafilats industries Factory in ICAD (Industrial city of Abu Dhabi). Managing Director of Hafilat Industries, Obeid Soghair Bin Khedaih Al Qubaisi, stated " We have been in the industry for 25 years and we take pride in catering to our customers specific needs." "We are pleased to be working with the Department of Transportation and are looking forward to a continuous strong relationship between us." Hafilat made UAE the first country in the Middle East to export locally built European Buses when the 15,000sq metre factory shipped out its first batch of buses to Australia in 2009. Moreover; Hafilat industries prides itself on manufacturing buses and coaches that deliver leading-edge technology. It is the first full Aluminium European Quality Regional Bus, built in UAE. Their busses are specially designed by VOLGREN, an Australian Technical Supplier who is the biggest body builder in its country. VOLGREN alluminiums extrusions which are stronger and lighter than steel are bolted together using the Swiss Co-Bolt manufacturing system. This allows for bus designs to be lighter, stronger, extrememly cost-effective, more environmentally friendly and ultimately safer for passengers and drivers. Located in a newly built factory in ICAD, Musafah, Hafilat manufactures a full range of Public Transport buses including, Low Floor Buses, Low Entry Buses, Articulated, Double Decker, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Hybrid, and Trolley Busses. Boasting a comprehensive support system, Hafilat includes local repair networks, spare parts supplies as well as training services.
