Lattakia, (SANA)- Minister of Endowments (Awkaf) Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed said that there is no internal problem in Syria, but the basic problem lies in those who send weapons and money to the takfiri terrorist groups to kill the Syrian people.
"The takfiri calls will not gain victory over the Islamic real tolerant religion represented by the religious institution in Syria which offered a lot of martyrs during the crisis, on top of them the scholar, Sheikh Mohammad Said Ramadan al-Bouti," the Minister said during a meeting with a number of Islamic and Christian clergymen in Lattakia.
"What is going on in the country is a desperate attempt by an incoming group to market a concept that the Islamic religion is a religion of killing and destruction," the Minister added.
He called on the clergymen and scholars to concentrate during their discourses on taking the purposes of Islamic Sharia and calling for the national unity.
"Opening new mosques and religious institutes amid this feverish campaign to which Syria is exposed is a clear message on the reality of what is happening in the country in a way that refutes the allegations of Syria enemies," the Minister affirmed during the inauguration of Yaseen mosque in al-Slaiyba neighborhood, al-Amal and al-Nour mosques in the Ten Project and Lattakia Institute at al-Batarni mosque.
For his part, Lattakia Governor Ahmad Sheik Abdul-Kader said that opening new mosques in the city amid the current crisis affirms the Syrians' determination to defeat terrorism and adhere to life.
