Abu Dhabi's premier events venue is now called du Arena
In what is being seen by many as a major step towards its Abu Dhabi expansion, Dubai-based telecom operator du on Sunday announced an industry first by bagging naming right to two of the capital's most popular entertainment venues.
In a four-year deal with Flash Entertainment, du announced that it had bagged the naming rights to Abu Dhabi's Yas Arena, which will be now known as du Arena, and for Flash Forum, now renamed du Forum.
"Du signs four-year deal: Yas Arena and FLASH Forum to be renamed du Arena and du Forum," tweeted du's Chief Commercial Officer Farid Faraidooni (@FaridF), live from the press conference at the venue.
"Through this partnership, @dutweets enforces its commitment to support Abu Dhabi as home of live entertainment in the ME," tweeted Hala Badri (@HalaBadri), du's Executive Vice-President for Brand and Communications.
